The Historical Society of Mount Lebanon, in cooperation with the Mt. Lebanon Partnership, is gearing up for the fifth annual ULTRAparty on Saturday, August 6 from 8 to midnight on Washington Road. Mt. Lebanon's summer street party attracts thousands of revelers and historically raises more than $15,000 for local charities. Velveeta, a cheesy ‘80s cover band will headline the evening, sponsored by Wilson-McGinley and the Mt. Lebanon Police Association, in addition to Web partner Higher Images and media partner mtl—Mt. Lebanon Magazine. A new addition this year is PreParty, with family-friendly activities from 6 - 8 p.m. in Clearview Commons featuring DJ Zombo, artists from I Made It! How many of you have spent at least one Fourth of July camped out on Mt. Washington with LOADS of other Pittsburghers awaiting the fireworks? We have! And 12 of our artists will be there this year to keep you occupied between 1 – 7 pm after you’ve set your folding chair up and made a camp for the day on Grandview Avenue.
Find us on Shiloh Street right by the incline where you can stroll the main street and find lunch, dinner, sweet treats, some caffeine and lots of handmade wares to wear as you celebrate Independence Day with the city!

The Women's Expo of Greater Pittsburgh was held yesterday, October 5th at the Radison Hotel in Greentree. The activities included a ribbon cutting ceremony, a credit repair specialist, a fashion show, and line dancing. Although; the main event was the women's display booths, which included technology, health, education, photography, media, printing, theater, jewelry and food. It was also an excellent opportunity for the women entrepreneurs of Pittsburgh to network as well. Djoi Jewelry Designs displayed it's one of a kind handmade jewelry collection as one of the three jewelry vendors participating in the event. Lori Bridgett, the event planner, plans to make this an annual event. Hope to see you next year.
